Traveling to Valdez on the Alaska Marine Highway System (the Alaska state ferry) allows you to cross Prince William Sound with your vehicle onboard. Many people will create itineraries that include the combination of driving to/from Valdez and taking the ferry the other direction. A day on the water with the Alaska Marine Highway System does not mean you will see the attractions in Prince William Sound that our tours are known for. Many guests who ferry to Valdez hop on board our tours the next day to get an up-close view of the shoreline, glaciers and wildlife.
